Today's Webequirk: Never knowing what the hell is going on.

Teaching in the North is all about flexibility and I have come to accept and sometimes enjoy that fact of life here. Sometimes though, it can be a little tiring. This week has been a perfect example of all of us not knowing what the hell is going on..ever.

Monday we were told that some people were coming up from down South to do an agriculture project. No we don't know when they are coming exactly, how long they are staying or exactly what they will be doing. That will be worked out later. Oh, also, there is no room at the hotel for them, so maybe you could host one or two random men in your house? Cool. So we roll with it.

Tuesday is the staff meeting. The last day of school you ask? Well no, of course we don't know when that will be. The board hasn't made that decision yet. That's over two weeks away, you must be crazy to want that answer now!!

Wednesday we were reminded of the anti-drug walk-a-thon around the community during the last period of the day at school. So even though there is only a week and a half of school left and we can barely get the students in the classroom to work at all, we should definitely cancel school to walk in a loop while people drop off half way and just go home.

Thursday and Friday are yet to come. Though Friday afternoon there may or may not be a school picnic...in the afternoon sometime...weather permitting...and if we feel like it? So, plan around that.

If anyone wants a job teaching high school in Webequie, there is most definitely an opening!
