Today someone came up to me and said "FIRE! 3 miles out!" and then walked away. I decided to take a gander outside to check on this and sure enough, the forest appeared to be on fire across the lake:
Someone at the store excitedly said to me: "There's a fire! I'm so excited cause I'm gonna get dropped off in a helicopter to put it out and get paid sooo much!" I simply replied "I wouldn't want that job!"
I shall have to keep you all posted on this. Here's to hoping forest fires can't swim!
